Welcome to the August edition of Joining the Dots in Tech. The annual D&I survey is underway and it's prompting a lot of you to get in touch with great questions, like: what else can I do with my D&I data? Thanks to all of you who participated last year, we created a free D&I benchmarking calculator. It allows you to benchmark your company's diversity to other businesses of a similar size, industry or location using the latest D&I data. You can also download your results, and you can use the calculator for your own company or any clients you are supporting with D&I.
Here are the latest TTC updates:
Our D&I survey is live and we are excited to read yours! Did you know that we don't just crunch the data on your survey submission; Karen and Lexie read every single survey response individually. If you've ever wondered how we choose the companies that are featured in our diversity reports, we are using your survey responses to identify interesting and innovative Signatories. So please get your survey in to us in good time and give us all the detail in your answer!
We've uncovered what tech talent really thinks about the various tech skills programmes/career pathways on the market. In a new research piece funded by DSIT, we explore how different tech training types are perceived by your future hires. We've looked at the success of career outcomes, whether talent experienced buyer's remorse over their choices and we've broken it down by key demographics like gender and age group. Whether you're an employer or talent provider, this is a key read for you!
Especially for our startups and SME Signatories: the Inclusive Hiring Scorecard. This new, free tool has been developed by Eden Chase Associates and it is the perfect place to start for organisations who are evolving their D&I practice from organic to strategic. Did you know we have a suite of D&I resources dedicated to startups, scale-ups and SMEs? We also have an exciting funding opportunity for companies in these categories - take a look below!
Kind regards,
