Supporting trans employees: what managers need to understand about trans experience at work

May 17th is IDAHOBIT: The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. It was created in 2004 to draw attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex people, and all of those with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics. IDAHOBIT is currently celebrated in more than 130 countries, including 37 where same-sex acts are illegal. In our Diversity in Tech Report, Tech Talent Charter revealed that just 0.17% of UK tech employees identified as trans (compared to 0.5% of the 16+ population) and that LGBTQ+ folks continue to face exclusion in the workplace.
